Former 49ers great Roger Craig on Jarryd Hayne: 'I like his courage'

Former 49ers great Roger Craig is in Jarryd Hayne's corner.

Hayne's strong preseason captured the attention of many, including Craig, who offered advice, but also support for the former rugby star.

"The NFL is another world," Craig said, via the Brisbane Times. "It's a different kind of beast. You have guys who can take your head off. You have to have courage, and I like his courage."

The coaching staff has remained mum about Hayne's role heading into Week 1, but his preseason play was enough evidence that he can clearly help the team somewhere.
