Parkinson's disease is a chronic and progressive movement disorder, meaning that symptoms continue and worsen over time. Nearly one million people in the US are living with Parkinson's disease.

BowTie Cause was involved with a one of a kind event, The Cincinnati ShakeUp for Parkinson's, held in Cincinnati with Dhani Jones tying the bow ties on anyone who bought them. The Cincinnati ShakeUp for Parkinson's is a special collaboration between the Brian Grant Foundation and University of Cincinnati Gardner Center for Parkinson's Disease and Movement disorders.

The signature bow tie was designed using the chemical formula for dopamine.
