Nolan Arenado makes catch of the year candidate
By Matt Birch
In the eighth inning of Tuesday's Rockies-Giants game, Colorado third baseman Nolan Arenado made a catch of the year candidate.
Gregor Blanco hit a pop fly into foul territory which seemed destined for the stands, but Arenado stayed with it all the way.
He tracked the ball down and made an amazing catch on the run. The toughest part was keeping the ball in his glove, as he bounced off the tarp and ended up in the stands.
Here’s a close-up of the amazing grab in foul territory.

Arenado has already won two Gold Gloves (2013, 2014). He might be on his way to winning a third consecutive one if he keeps making sensational plays such as this one.
