Nationals' Espinosa probably done for year with injured leg
WASHINGTON (AP) Washington Nationals infielder Danny Espinosa's season is probably finished because of a torn right hamstring.
Espinosa hit .240 in 2015, with 13 homers and 37 RBIs in 367 at-bats. He started 95 games, including 74 at second base, but also at least five at each of the other infield positions and two in left field.
Manager Matt Williams said before Washington's game against the Baltimore Orioles on Thursday that Espinosa is ''likely done for the season'' because ''if it tears any more at that spot, then it's a long, long rehab.''
Williams said Espinosa ''has done everything that's been asked of him'' and ''it's unfortunate for him to have that at this point.''
