The Chicago Cubs have optioned LHP Brooks Raley to Triple-A Iowa on Sunday, the day after he earned his first career win.
Raley was recalled on Saturday to pitch the second game of Chicago's day-night doubleheader against the Reds and worked 5 1-3 innings in the 9-7 victory.
Raley, 24, was 0-2 with a 9.00 ERA in his first two career starts after being called up from Iowa on Aug. 7. He was back optioned to Iowa on Aug. 13.
He is expected to be recalled to start Saturday against Colorado in Chicago.
