After seeing nearly a dozen other tight ends come off the board at the 2018 NFL draft, Wisconsin's Troy Fumagalli was finally selected in the fifth round by Denver.

Fumagalli, who was taken with the No. 156 selection, was named the Big Ten's tight end of the year after catching 46 passes for 547 yards with four touchdowns. He finished his time with the Badgers ranked seventh on the school's receptions list with 135 and 13th in receiving yards with 1,627.

A former walk-on, Fumagalli is the sixth Wisconsin tight end to be drafted since 2006, but first since Lance Kendricks in 2011.

The Broncos have a few other Big Ten tight ends on its roster in Jeff Heuerman (Ohio State), Jake Butt (Michigan) and Austin Traylor (Wisconsin).
