The Newest Version of New England Patriots Boston TE Party

The New England Patriots have assembled another high powered offense featuring two tight end sets that will give defenses a hard time for the remainder of the season.

The pairing of Rob Gronkowski and Aaron Hernandez is a thing of the past. Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots have tried to recreate a version of the tight end tandem that gave defenses fits a few years ago. By shifting through tight ends by the likes of Scott Chandler, Michael Hoomanawanui, and Tim Wright, the Patriots have finally found a pairing that is as dangerous as the original Gronk and Hern.

This offseason, the Patriots traded a sixth round pick to Chicago for Martellus Bennett. Bennett was able to hold his own at the start of the season in an offense without Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski. In Brady’s return, the Cleveland defense put their focus on Gronkowski leaving Bennett open and able to score three touchdowns.

Moving forward, the duo of tight ends won’t be able to keep up with what was seen against the Browns but it will help the New England receivers by putting them in one on one coverage and will pull opposing safeties into the middle of the field.

The rest of the league says: Well of course they put up those yards. It was against the Browns.

I say: Of course we did. It’s New England.
