The Colts opened their offseason training program Monday, featuring plenty of new faces, including running back Frank Gore and wide receiver Andre Johnson.

One player who was wasn't there was longtime standout Reggie Wayne, who the Colts elected not to re-sign after 14 seasons in Indianapolis.

The player tasked with filling Wayne's role as the Colts' go-to receiver, T.Y. Hilton, told the team's official website on Monday he was still adjusting to Wayne's absence.

“It’s very different," Hilton told Colts.com. "It still hurts me right now. I was still waiting for him to just walk in the meeting room. It’s different. It’s going to take me some time to get used to it, but I don’t think I will.”

While Hilton, who went to the Pro Bowl last season, has proven he can produce on the field, he told the team website his focus now is on filling Wayne's role as a team leader.

“I’m the captain of the room," Hilton said. "Right now, I gotta make sure everybody’s on point, make sure we’re on point with Andrew (Luck). For me, whatever (Wayne) taught me, make sure I’m teaching everybody else, because it’s only right. Marvin (Harrison) did it with him. He did it for me. Now, I gotta pass on the torch.”
