AFC West teams certainly come out swinging off their bye week
It's San Diego's turn to parlay its off week into a resounding, lopsided win.
That's because bye weeks and blowouts go hand-in-hand when your team hails from the AFC West.
Consider the division's 3-0 record after byes this season. The AFC West-leading Broncos returned from rest and blew out the previously-undefeated Packers. The same thing happened when the Raiders returned and blew the Chargers out in Week 6.
And just last week, the Chiefs came back from their bye and knocked off the Broncos for the first time since 2013.
The trend extends further back that just this season. The Chargers were upset by both the Raiders and Chiefs at home last year -- and they were both off byes.
It's their chance for a little revenge. The Bolts were off in Week 10 and are desperate for a win.
