Vikings to hold 2 joint practices with Bengals

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) The Minnesota Vikings will hold two joint practices with the Cincinnati Bengals leading into their preseason opener.

The Vikings announced their training camp schedule on Thursday. Their first training camp practice will take place in Mankato on July 29.

The Vikings will head to Cincinnati for practices with the Bengals on Aug. 10-11. They open the exhibition season on Aug. 12.

Mike Zimmer was the defensive coordinator for the Bengals before being hired to coach the Vikings three years ago.

He says his great relationship with coach Marvin Lewis and the organization makes it a perfect fit for the setup.

The Vikings wrapped up their mandatory minicamp on Thursday.
