Titans agree to 1-year deal with safety Rashad Johnson
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) The Tennessee Titans have agreed to terms with veteran safety Rashad Johnson on a one-year contract.
The Titans announced the deal Friday.
The 5-foot-11, 204 pound Johnson spent the past seven seasons with Arizona after the Cardinals selected him in the third round of the 2009 draft out of Alabama. Johnson has started 51 of his 100 career games with 15 interceptions, 26 passes defended, one sack and four fumbles recovered. He also has returned three interceptions for touchdowns.
Johnson started 14 games last season and had a career-high five interceptions, which tied for sixth in the NFL. He started both of Arizona's playoff games and also had his first postseason interception.
He'll help replace veteran Michael Griffin, released by the Titans earlier this offseason.
