Lynch returns to practice for Seahawks; Wagner sits out again
Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch returned to practice Thursday for the first time since suffering a hamstring injury in a Week 3 victory over the Chicago Bears.
Lynch practiced fully and will reclaim his starting job despite the success of undrafted rookie Thomas Rawls, who rumbled for 169 yards and a touchdown last week and is a big reason why the Seahawks own the league's top-ranked rushing attack (142.4 yards per game).
With Seattle set to host the undefeated Carolina Panthers on Sunday, quarterback Russell Wilson offered a simple assessment of the important of Lynch to the team's lineup. "They call him Beast Mode for a reason," Wilson said.
The outlook on the other side of the ball was another story for the Seahawks. Middle linebacker Bobby Wagner missed his second straight practice due to a pectoral injury. He was joined on the sideline by defensive lineman Frank Clark (hamstring) and linebacker Nick Moody (ankle), who was just elevated from the practice squad due to Wagner's injury.
Yet another linebacker, Brock Coyle (knee), and defensive tackle Demarcus Dobbs (shoulder) were each listed as limited participants Thursday.
