Beast Mode is in the building.

Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch attended Tuesday’s mandatory minicamp, according to multiple media reports.

Lynch, who was reportedly planning to sit out the three-day event in a move to leverage a new contract extension, had skipped all of the team’s voluntary organized team activities earlier this month. If Lynch were to skip the camp, he would be subject to a fine that totals nearly $70,000.

Lynch could still technically hold out during training camp as he’s due $5 million in base salary in 2014, but has hinted publicly that he's hoping for long-term security. With Lynch absent, second-year running back Christine Michael has been wowing the coaching staff. Offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell has noted that the Seahawks will look to employ a running back by committee, opposed to just relying on one player.

Lynch, 28, finished second in the league in rushing attempts (301) last season, while churning out 1,257 yards and an NFL-high 12 rushing touchdowns. The eighth-year running back agreed to a four-year deal worth $30 million in 2012 and is scheduled to be a free agent in 2016.
