Report: Chargers fine Weddle for watching daughter dance at halftime

The San Diego Chargers' messy divorce from star safety Eric Weddle just got even messier.

Weddle was slammed with a $10,000 fine for watching his daughter dance during a halftime ceremony at the Chargers-Dolphins game on Dec. 20, San Diego Union-Tribune's Kevin Acee reported.

It only got worse from there, according to his agent.

Weddle was all but assured to leave after a summer of bitter negotiation and holdout. He reportedly told his agent to cut off contact with the Chargers after they failed to reach his deadline for a new deal.

Now, more than ever, it seems Weddle will seek that new contract elsewhere when he hits free agency. The two-time All-Pro has likely played his last game in San Diego, especially if these new reports are true.
