New York Jets Star Receiver Brandon Marshall Goes Down with Knee Injury
A facemask tackle made by Stephon Gilmore on Brandon Marshall resulted in Marshall leaving the game holding his left knee
New York Jets fans are holding their collective breathe tonight after watching their best offensive weapon go down.
Just minutes into the second quarter of the Thursday Night game between the New York Jets and Buffalo Bills, cornerback Stephon Gilmore violently pulled Brandon Marshall down by the facemask.
Marshall’s left knee twisted awkwardly, leaving him down on the field in clear pain.
Love Brandon Marshall, hope this isn’t as bad as it looks https://t.co/b7DcVkLDyE

Brandon Marshall limped off the field and stayed on the sideline for the rest of the Jets drive. One that offensive drive was over for the Jets, Marshall was seen limping towards the locker room.
He would later be seen jogging on the sidelines, a good sign for Jets fans.

Should Brandon Marshall be out for a significant amount of time with a knee injury, the Jets will have to add some depth at receiver. Eric Decker serves as the grizzled veteran, while rookies Jalin Marshall and Robby Anderson are still learning the ropes.
Devin Smith, the Jets second round pick from 2015, is currently on injured reserve while recovering from a torn ACL suffered in December. The former Ohio State Buckeye won’t be eligible to return until after six weeks.
Free agent wide receivers available for the Jets include Rueben Randle, Chris Givens, and Roddy White. The Jets currently have one wide receiver on their practice squad, that being rookie Wendall Williams out of Cumberlands College. Williams was signed by the Houston Texans as an undrafted free agent, but was signed by New York earlier this month.
