Manti Te'o 'feels so comfortable' heading into crucial third season
Manti Te'o found it tough to adapt to the speed of the game with a cast on his foot.
It's amazing what a clean bill of health can do for the third-year linebacker's mentality.
"I can’t tell you how much different it is,” Te’o told U-T San Diego. “It feels so comfortable out there, to finally be out there and just play ball."
Back-to-back broken feet stunted Teo's professional growth. The former Notre Dame product had to sit and watch as his team drafted another second-round linebacker, Miami's Denzel Perryman, this spring.
Te'o doesn't sound concerned. In fact, he's confident the game will slow down even more with each new practice rep.
“I’m not being the guy being told things, I understand things on my own," he said. "Now I can help other people out."
