Los Angeles Rams WR Kenny Britt Jumps Into Top 10 For Receiving Yards

Kenny Britt has stepped it up for the Los Angeles Rams in the passing game over the last few weeks.

At the beginning of the season, the Los Angeles Rams knew they were going to have one of the league’s weakest receiving corps after the offense ranked near the bottom of the league in 2015. Even though the team invested a ton of money into Tavon Austin at the beginning of the season, the former first-round pick hasn’t done anything exciting enough to prove he’s worthy of being the team’s No. 1 wide receiver.

Instead, it’s been Kenny Britt that has picked up the slack in the passing game for Los Angeles over the last few weeks as the wide receiver now ranks in the top 10 when it comes to receiving yards for the 2016 season.

Despite the heartbreaking loss, Britt had one of the best games of his career against the Detroit Lions in Week 6 after catching seven passes for 136 yards to go along with two touchdowns. Thanks to these impressive numbers, Britt heads into Week 7 ranked ninth on the list of leading wide receivers with 492 yards, and there’s good chance he could continue climbing that list with an upcoming matchup in London against the New York Giants.

On the season, the Giants currently 22nd by allowing 266.8 yards per game through the air as the Rams would love to see a similar performance by Case Keenum like he did against the Lions. If that’s going to happen, don’t be surprised if Keenum heavily relies on Britt once again as Los Angeles looks to end their two game losing skid.

And if that does happen, maybe the Rams will finally have their first 1,000-yard receiver in Britt for the first time since Torry Holt in 2007.
