After an 0-2 start to the season, the Indianapolis Colts decided to make wholesale changes along the the offensive, the Indianapolis Star reported.

The Colts benched starting guards Todd Herremans and Lance Louis for Sunday's Week 3 matchup against the Tennessee Titans.  Jack Mewhort, who started the first two game of the season at right tackle, shifted to left guard in place of Lewis. Veteran Hugh Thornton started at right guard in place of Herremans, and Joe Reitz started at tight tackle.

The Indianapolis offensive line has struggled to start the season, particularly  handling the blitz.

The Colts signed Herremans as a free agent in March, hoping he would add stability to the offensive line. The 32-year-old spent 10 seasons with the Eagles before joining the Colts.
