Giants sign safety Cooper Taylor, add 2 to practice squad

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) The New York Giants have re-signed safety Cooper Taylor to the active roster.

The Giants announced the move on Wednesday, filling the spot that opened when linebacker James Morris was waived on Tuesday.

The Giants' 2013 fifth-round draft choice, Taylor was waived on Oct. 20 and signed to the practice squad on Nov. 3. He had played in three games.

New York also signed wide receiver Ben Edwards and center Shane McDermott to the practice squad.
