Brock Osweiler is disappointed he's not starting in the playoffs

Brock Osweiler admitted he’s disappointed the Denver Broncos are going with Peyton Manning as their playoff quarterback.

Gary Kubiak made it official on Thursday that Manning would take back the reins in Denver’s playoff games, and unsurprisingly, Osweiler isn’t thrilled, but isn’t causing trouble over the decision either.

“It’s hard to hear you’re not going to be the one playing,” Osweiler said, via Troy Renck of the Denver Post. “It’s a little disappointing. However, I am a big team player. Woulda, coulda, shoulda -- who knows? Peyton is going to start in the playoffs and that’s something I support.”

Osweiler is saying all the right things, and while Manning is the clear choice here, there’s no guarantee he’ll be completely effective or won’t re-aggravate an injury. Hopefully now that he’s a bit less blindsided, he won’t look so down on the sideline when the Broncos take the field.
