IRVING, Texas (AP) The Dallas Cowboys have signed unrestricted free agent center Joe Looney to a two-year contract.

Looney started six of his eight games with Tennessee after signing with the Titans midway through last season.

Originally drafted by San Francisco in the fourth round of the 2012 draft, he was waived by the 49ers prior to the start of last season.

Looney was inactive for all 16 games as a rookie before playing four games as a reserve for the 49ers in 2013. He played 15 games with four starts in 2014, at both guard spots and at center.
