Colts Promote Offensive Tackle Jeremy Vujnovich from Practice Squad
With Joe Reitz and Denzelle Good’s uncertain status for Sunday, the Indianapolis Colts have added another offensive lineman to their 53-man active roster for additional depth.
The Indianapolis Colts announced on Saturday that the team has promoted offensive tackle Jeremy Vujnovich from their practice squad.
It’s worth noting that the team had an open spot on their 53-man active roster after placing veteran pass rusher Trent Cole on injured reserve earlier this week.

It makes sense that Vujnovich would receive the nod, as both Joe Reitz (back) and Denzelle Good (back) are officially listed as “questionable” for Sunday’s game–meaning the team may need some additional offensive line depth.
The encouraging news is that Reitz was a full participant in Friday’s practice and looks like he may actually be able to play on Sunday; however, Good was a limited participant and is probably less likely.
With the Colts already in London, it makes sense that the team would opt to promote a practice squad player on standby, who was already traveling with the team.
I’m guessing that the Colts wanted to wait as long as possible to see whether the team should promote an offensive lineman because of Reitz or Good’s status or a wide receiver, as Phillip Dorsett (ankle) is listed as ‘questionable’ as well.
This move could be a precursor of showing that Dorsett is in fact healthy enough to play on Sunday, as the team opted to promote an offensive lineman instead of a wide receiver.
Regarding Vujnovich, the 6’5″, 300 pound offensive tackle was initially signed by the Colts this past May, where he spent the entire offseason with the team before being released as part of the team’s final 53-man roster cuts. He was subsequently re-signed to the Colts practice squad prior to this latest roster move.
Originally signed by the Green Bay Packers as an undrafted free agent out of Louisiana College in 2014, Vujnovich spent two seasons on his former team’s practice squad before joining the Colts.
