Bears receiver defends Jay Cutler by comparing him to a 'pretty girl'

The preseason hasn’t even begun and Jay Cutler is already taking shots to the chest.

On Wednesday, Michael and Martellus Bennett offered their opinions on NFL quarterbacks, and their take on Cutler was particularly scorching. Michael called Cutler the “worst quarterback in the NFL,” while Martellus called him out for throwing into double-coverage when he was wide open.

Cutler’s response was very Jay Cutler-like – subtle, quiet, and a bit passive-aggressive – but he does have one fan on his side, and it’s his wide receiver. Kevin White shared his opinion of Cutler with Ben Baskin of Sports Illustrated.

White used a strange analogy to defend Cutler, comparing him to a “pretty girl.”

White’s comments were made back in June but they just surfaced on Thursday in light of the Bennett Bros’ comments. Nonetheless, it's clear White is on Cutler's side and wants the perception of him changed.

Perhaps winning an MVP like Brandon Marshall suggests he can will help.
