Clippers rumors keep circulating throughout the NBA.

Such Clippers rumors are should they find a point guard while Chris Paul is out.

Many critics have said yes and explained why. While others have said no, their bench is just fine. Nonetheless the team does need a player who could help the team make a push in the playoffs.

The Clippers have yet to make it far in the post-season, but have consistently been making the playoffs. Lob City is always in contention for competing for a league title and acquiring another player may be what they need.

They have been in talks of landing one or multiple high profile players. Of Course they may not need any one of these players and if they do one of these five could help the Clippers make a playoff push.

Here are five players that could help improve the Clippers not just while Paul is out but even in the playoffs.

Eric Bledsoe

Clippers rumors include them acquiring high profile players.

Also, there has been Clippers rumors should LA sign a point guard while Paul is out. If they do sign a point guard why not sign Eric Bledsoe of the Phoenix Suns.

It would be a reunion for the two.

Also, he is versatile and can play point and shooting guard.

He is having one of his best seasons as a starter with the Suns. Bledsoe is their difference maker and he is averaging 21 points, 5 rebounds, and 6 assists according to basketball reference.

Eric Bledsoe is close to averaging a double-double and not far from a triple-double. He is considerably the best player on the team which isn’t doing so well.

LA would be wise to welcome him back.

He could start while Paul is out and even when he comes back start as well or even improve the bench play and help LA make a run in the playoffs.

Wilson Chandler

Who will the Clippers sign before the trade deadline and will the Clippers sign anyone before the deadline? f they do sign someone, will it be a superstar, all-star, or role player?

These are some of the questions involving the latest Clippers rumors. As a team they have excellent chemistry except when some players are injured.

Their consistency to making the playoffs is due to their the chemistry. However they have yet to advance deep in the post-season.

They need one more player that could help push the team far in the playoffs whether they start or come off the bench.

A player that comes to mind is Wilson Chandler. He can play shooting guard or small forward and even power forward as he is versatile.

Wilson Chandler is a good three-point shooter, yet better defender. This is exactly the type of player LA needs.

They need someone who is a good defender and isn’t afraid to shoot the ball or take control of the game.

He has the winner’s mentality and that is what Lob City needs if they are going to go anywhere this year. If they can’t get the next guy not he slideshow they should trade for Chandler.

Carmelo Anthony

Carmelo Anthony is another player that would change the Clippers by giving them a versatile shooter.

He has been the talk of the Clippers rumors and those talks have been quoted down. Intriguingly enough Lob City attempted to acquire Kevin Durant in the off-season.

What is special with Anthony is he has a no-trade clause in his contract. All this means if the Knicks want to trade him he can veto that trade.

Therefore, he in a way can pick what team he wants play with. The Knicks would trade Anthony if they want him gone.

He would bring depth, defense, and more playoff experience to the Clippers. Similar to the Clippers Anthony is hungry for a NBA Finals Championship.

The last time he won a championship was in college when he lead Syracuse University to a title.

Both of them are hungry and that mentality of winning and wanting to win it all is what the Clippers need.

They need someone who isn’t afraid to make plays and not afraid of the spotlight in the post-season. Anthony isn’t afraid of taking the shot.

He may be the Clippers’ last shot at NBA Finals run.

Aaron Gordon

Aaron Gordon would add to the excitement of the Clippers. There would be another lob in Lob City. Gordon is a true power forward, but in the Orlando Magic lineup sometimes has to play power forward.

When he plays small forward his defense shines and his offense not so much. Then when he is at the power forward spot his offense shines as that is his true position. He would add to the spotlight in LA.

Starting Gordon at the center would work for small ball purposes.

That would look like this:

Chris Paul
J.J. Redick
Luc Mbah A Moute
Blake Griffin
Aaron Gordon

This would mean their free throw shooters are on the court. Gordon would come off the bench unless he took over Griffins or Jordan starting gig.

Therefore, it doesn’t look like he would join them, However the thought of him joing the Clippers and what he can do is exciting. You still never know.

He would be perfect for them coming off the bench giving them depth and rotation. It would just be would he be okay with that? There is no doubt Aaron Gordon would change and impact the Clippers.

Serge Ibaka

Serge Ibaka is the final player in this slideshow who can change the Clippers.

If we are talking trades then that is what LA would have to do in order to sign Ibaka. Or they could sign him in free agency after the season.

Let’s take a look at how he could change LA.

For starters, he could start easily or come off the bench.

By coming off the bench he would add depth, versatility, and experience to the whole team. He could help them even win in the post-season with his playoff experience.

If he were to start he would take over someone’s spot or rotate in with Deandre Jordan. Serge Ibaka has the mentality to win games and he isn’t afraid to take the last shot.

Also, he can shoot the the three pointer, is a great free throw shooter, and excellent shot blocker. By signing him Lob City would have two rim protectors and one of them can even score from anywhere.

Of course these Clippers rumors are rumors and nothing always holds true, yet we never know.

Nonetheless, any of or all off these players would have an immediate impact on the team.

If LA were to want to a acquire any of them they would have to trade some of their own players for one of them.

They possibly could keep most of their current players and trade for picks or sign one of them off the waiver wire.

This way they wouldn’t have to give up any of their current players. This would be the way to go for the Clippers.

It is always fun to see different scenarios of how the Clippers can acquire players via trade, whether they sign them or not. That is what this article is about.
