Holland allowed a run on two hits and a walk while striking out one in Wednesday's 3-2 extra-innings win over the Rays.

    Impact

Holland had a chance to close out the game in regulation but allowed a game-tying run in the bottom of the ninth inning after getting the first two batters out. It was his first blown save in nine opportunities and the second straight game in which he's allowed a run.

Holland picked up the save against the Rockies on Friday, giving up one earned run on one hit over his one inning of work to lock down a 10-9 victory for the Diamondbacks. He had two strikeouts and two walks.

    Impact

It wasn't completely smooth sailing for Holland, but he managed to work around the baserunners to bag his eighth save in as many opportunities to start the season. Overall, the 33-year-old is off to an excellent start, with a 0.75 ERA, a 0.83 WHIP and 17 strikeouts over 12 innings, and he's got a firm grasp on the role as the primary closer option in the Arizona bullpen.

Holland earned his seventh save of the season by issuing one walk in a scoreless ninth inning to close out Wednesday's 3-2 win over the Yankees.

    Impact

Holland now has saves in back-to-back games against the Yankees without allowing a hit. The 33-year-old has been near perfect thus far in 2019 with a 0.64 WHIP and 15:5 K:BB through 11 scoreless innings, and is 7-for-7 in save opportunities.

Holland struck out one in a perfect ninth inning Tuesday to record his sixth save of the season in a 3-1 win over the Yankees.

    Impact

The veteran closer fired eight of nine pitches for strikes in breezing through the ninth. Holland has yet to allow a run this season, much less blow a save, and his 15:4 K:BB through 10 innings is even more remarkable considering his career-low 92.4 mph average fastball.
