The Minnesota Vikings announced Wednesday that former receivers Randy Moss and Ahmad Rashad will join the team's Ring of Honor at some point next season.
“They were great players who made their marks on the NFL during their careers and were highly respected by teammates and opponents," Vikings president Mark Wilf said in a statement. "They are as proud of their Vikings roots as we are to have them in our football family forever."
A six-time Pro Bowl selection and one of the most decorated receivers in NFL history, Moss ranks second all-time with 156 receiving touchdowns and third all-time with 15,292 receiving yards.
The mercurial star was drafted by the Vikings in 1998, and spent seven seasons in Minnesota before being traded to the Oakland Raiders.
He eventually returned to the Vikings in 2011, before finishing his career with the San Francisco 49ers after a brief stint with the Tennessee Titans.

Originally drafted by the then-St. Louis Cardinals in 1972 following a standout career at the University of Oregon, Rashad spent all but three of his 10 NFL seasons with the Vikings, topping 1,000 receiving yards twice and amassing 5,489 receiving yards and 34 receiving touchdowns for Minnesota.
Rashad is best remembered for the so-called "Miracle at the Met," a win over the Cleveland Browns in 1980 at Metropolitan stadium, when he made a one-handed touchdown catch on a 46-yard Hail Mary throw from quarterback Tommy Kramer as time expired, completing a 14-point comeback.
