The Minnesota Vikings beefed up their defensive line depth Wednesday, signing former Chicago Bears tackle Will Sutton.

A third-round pick of the Bears in 2014, Sutton appeared in 36 games (18 starts) for Chicago, logging 60 tackles before being waived on May 11.

Sutton struggled to adapt to the Bears' 3-4 defense, and could find more of a home in Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer's 4-3.

The Vikings waived fellow defensive tackle Toby Johnson to clear space for Sutton.

The former undrafted free agent spent time on the Vikings' practice squad, two appeared in two games last season after Tom Johnson went down with a torn hamstring.
