'The Herd': Peter King raises question on why NFL VP defended official

The fallout of Monday night's missed call in the Seattle Seahawks' win has had a ripple effect that is widespread across the league.

MMQB's Peter King joined "The Herd" on Tuesday to discuss his takeaways including raising a question of why NFL vice president of officiating Dean Blandino defended the official that missed the call.

"The referee in this case doesn't have the power or authority by virtue of the rules to look at something and say, 'Well, he punched it out of bounds but maybe or probably it was going to go out of bounds and he really didn't hit it that hard,' " King said. "That's not at all relative to the situation. That official blew the call. Period. That's the thing that really kind of ticks you off."
