Odell Beckham Jr. to take over Antrel Rolle's weekly radio spot

Published May. 28, 2015 11:06 a.m. ET

With Antrel Rolle no longer a member of the New York Giants, the team needs a new leader to step up. No, we're not talking about becoming a leader on the field, because that's a completely different void left by Rolle. A Giant is needed to step in for Rolle as a weekly guest this season on "The Michael Kay Show" on ESPN radio 98.7 FM in New York. The Giant inheriting this honor is dynamic second year wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr.

Every Thursday beginning on September 3rd, Beckham will sit down with hosts Michael Kay and Don LaGreca to talk Giants football and everything surrounding the team. He will join them every Thursday for as long as the Giants' season continues.

It seems like everyone wants a piece of 2014's Rookie of the Year. This offseason, Beckham has received a custom pair of shoes from LeBron James, the Madden 16 cover honor and now he will be a voice for the team. For fans who are wondering if Beckham has any media savvy, he plans to give the people what they want.

"I'm excited that I will have a weekly platform to talk Giants football and give the fans some perspective from inside the locker room," Beckham said to reporters after Wednesday's practice.
