Chargers, Raiders owners talk stadium plans with L.A. mayor

Two NFL teams were back in Los Angeles for the first time since 1994.

It was only for a formal meeting, according to the Los Angeles Times. On Tuesday, Los Angeles mayor Eric Garcetti heard one new vision from the two men targeting his city, Chargers owner Dean Spanos and Raiders owner Mark Davis.

A spokesman for Garcetti confirmed the meeting and said the mayor "would welcome a team anywhere in the Los Angeles area," including Carson, Calif. where the Raiders and Chargers are planning their state-of-the art shared home.

Inglewood, Calif. is also in play with the Rams eying a return. But the mayor's office is reluctant to make any overtures until the league officially approves relocation.

Said a city spokesman: "While Mayor Garcetti frequently meets with companies looking to do business in Los Angeles, we are mindful that the Chargers, Raiders and Rams are still actively discussing stadium deals in their current cities and the NFL has not yet approved a team moving."
