Rex Ryan says Tyrod Taylor will be Bills' starting QB in 2016

Tyrod Taylor entered training camp in 2015 in a three-way battle for the starting job at quarterback. Next season, it doesn't sound like he'll be put through the same kind of situation -- and rightfully so.

He's played extremely well this season, posting the seventh-best passer rating (99.4) in the NFL with a league-low six interceptions among qualified quarterbacks. He was one of the few bright spots for the Bills this year and has earned the starting job for the upcoming season.

Rex Ryan confirmed on Monday that Taylor will be the starter come 2016.

EJ Manuel hasn't proved to be a viable starter in the NFL, though general manager Doug Whaley called him a "top-third" backup quarterback. He's the only other guy that could compete with Taylor right now, unless the Bills bring in someone via free agency or the draft.

Regardless, he won't be the No. 1 guy at this point with Ryan giving Taylor a huge vote of confidence.
