Browns' Gordon staying positive, has bright future, according to his agent

Josh Gordon is "hanging in there."

Those are the words from his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, as the receiver deals with yet another league-mandated suspension, set to last the season, at minimum.

"He's biding his time," Rosenhaus told Northeast Ohio Media Group. "It's a difficult process and it's meant to be difficult obviously. But I've got faith in him and he'll get through this tough time and he still has a very bright future in the NFL in my opinion.''

Gordon, who is not permitted to work out with the team or attend meetings, is still living in Cleveland and spends times with his teammates away from Browns headquarters.

"The players on this team really care about Josh,'' Rosenhaus said. "Joe Haden's been great to him and so have all of his friends on the team. That's really meant a lot to Josh during this difficult time.''

Gordon is taking it one day at a time, trying to stay positive -- and clean -- according to Rosenhaus. The agent says there is no doubt that Gordon is committed to resuming his career.

The Browns signed two veteran receivers in Dwayne Bowe and Brian Hartline this offseason to help fill the void created by Gordon's indefinite suspension. They also signed veteran QB Josh McCown to help improve a passing attack that scored just 12 touchdowns last season.
