Source: Moore to visit with Dolphins
An offensive lineman who spent all 10 of his NFL seasons with the New York Jets could be joining a division rival.
A source told FOXSports.com that guard Brandon Moore is taking a free-agent visit with the Miami Dolphins and will meet Thursday with team officials upon their return from the NFL owners meetings.
Moore, 32, is considered the top guard remaining on the free-agent market. Moore has started 137 consecutive games for New York dating back to the 2004 season and was considered one of the team’s locker-room leaders.
The Jets, though, haven’t made scant effort to re-sign Moore under new general manager John Idzik.
Moore could be a fit for the Dolphins at right guard to replace starter John Jerry. The Dolphins hosted Chicago Bears guard Lance Louis on a free-agent visit last week.
