A's and Rangers will replay rained out game July 7

The Oakland Athletics and Texas Rangers will make up their rained out game July 7, which had been an off day for both teams.

Texas led 7-0 in the middle of the fourth inning Wednesday, including a grand slam by first baseman Mitch Moreland off Gio Gonzalez, before heavy rains started and forced the postponement of the game at Rangers Ballpark. Since that game wasn't official, it will replayed in its entirety, and none of the stats count.

With the makeup date, the A's and Rangers now have a four-game series that July weekend. The series in Texas is the last for both teams before the All-Star break.
