Ty France - Officially placed on injured listFrance was placed on the 10-day injured list Friday with left wrist inflammation.
ImpactSeattle swapped out Evan White (hip) for Donovan Walton and later made this roster move, replacing France with Jack Mayfield. While France is not currently believed to be dealing with more than inflammation, it's not clear whether or not a return after the 10-day minimum is realistic. France is batting .059/.179/.088 in May and .229/.333/.366 for the season.

Jack Mayfield - Gets call to SeattleMayfield was recalled from Triple-A Tacoma on Friday.
ImpactManager Scott Servais said earlier in the evening during a radio interview that Ty France (wrist) was headed to the injured list, and the paperwork is now done. Mayfield, a waiver acquisition from the Angels in late April, will replace France on the active roster. Mayfield is an ultra-light-hitting utility infielder (career .165/.193/.275).

ImpactA strained left hip flexor sent Evan White to the IL and opened the door for Walton's second stint with the big-league club this season. His first stint lasted all of one day and this one figures to be brief as well. Walton will provide depth in the middle infield until there is a more pressing need on the roster (likely in the bullpen).
