Verrett inactive for Chargers; Berry, Avery for KC
SAN DIEGO (AP) Cornerback Jason Verrett, who made the game-saving interception for San Diego in a victory at Oakland a week ago, is inactive for the San Diego Chargers against the Kansas City Chiefs due to a shoulder injury.
Also inactive are linebacker Jerry Attaochu (hamstring), Donald Brown (concussion), wide receiver Dontrelle Inman, defensive tackle Ricardo Mathews and Ryan Mathews (knee) and linebacker Manti Te'o (foot), who remain out indefinitely.
Inactive for the Chiefs are safety Eric Berry (ankle) and wide receiver Donnie Avery (groin), as well as quarterback Aaron Murray, cornerback Chris Owens, center Eric Kush, offensive lineman Laurent Duvernay-Tardif and defensive end Damion Square.
A.J. Jenkins starts for Avery and Ron Parker for Berry. Avery and Berry were ruled out on Friday.
