Packers TE returns to practice in wake of family tragedy

Green Bay Packers tight end Andrew Quarless returned to training camp on Monday in the wake of an unthinkable tragedy.

Packers head coach Mike McCarthy said last week that Quarless was dealing with “an extremely difficult family situation” and would not be with the team for an unspecified amount of team. The 26-year-old told reporters Monday that his daughter died at birth last week, according to Jason Wilde of ESPNWisconsin.com.

Quarless made headlines earlier this month after an embarrassing arrest, but I’m sure that incident is far from his mind at the moment. Our thoughts are with him during what must be an incredibly difficult time.
