Doug Baldwin writes thoughtful Facebook post on the Confederate flag
Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Doug Baldwin decided to join the national conversation about the Confederate flag. Baldwin took to Facebook to write an essay that was well-worded, powerful and thought-out about why the flag should be taken down.
He captioned the post on a picture of a group of white people painting the Confederate flag on the side of a wall in his hometown of Pensacola, Florida.
Pensacola, FL. Home sweet home.. I can respect freedom of speech. Hell, I've been known to rub people the wrong way...

Baldwin took his personal experiences from growing up in the South and eloquently stated his opinion without trying to offend anyone. He even has "hope and respect for [a] more unified front to racial ignorance" for all those that disagree with his words.
