Updated Mar. 4, 2020 10:24 p.m. ET

John Bowlen, the 29-year-old son of Denver Broncos owner Pat Bowlen, pleaded not guilty Monday to domestic violence charges stemming from a June 3 altercation with his girlfriend.

He's due in Arapahoe County District Court again Oct. 27 for a motions hearing. County prosecutors told The Denver Post a jury trial was set for Dec. 15.

The younger Bowlen was arrested this summer after allegedly pushing his girlfriend during an argument in Glendale. He was arrested on suspicion of third-degree assault and harassment.

He is on indefinite leave from his job with the Broncos as a marketing assistant.
