Orioles slugger's last seven hits have all been home runs
Mark Trumbo is setting himself up for quite a payday this offseason.
The Orioles slugger leads the majors with a career-high 38 homers after homering again in Monday’s 4-3 win over the Nationals. It was his seventh homer -- and seventh hit overall -- since Aug. 11.
Yes, the 30-year-old pending free agent truly has become an all-or-nothing performer in the past couple weeks. And that’s just fine with Baltimore considering how much “all” there has been, though Trumbo is hitting just .211 during this stretch.
Thanks to this rather unconventional streak, Trumbo has put himself in some pretty rare company:
Not bad for a guy who has been traded three times since December 2013.
