Withers scores 13, Bryant downs NJIT 70-55

NEWARK, N.J. (AP) — Connor Withers' 13 points helped Bryant defeat NJIT 70-55 on Thursday night.

Withers also had seven rebounds for the Bulldogs (13-7, 5-0 America East Conference). Earl Timberlake scored 11 points and added 11 rebounds. Daniel Rivera finished 5 of 13 from the field to finish with 11 points, while adding seven rebounds.

The Highlanders (4-14, 0-6) were led in scoring by Tariq Francis, who finished with 17 points. Kjell de Graaf added 12 points and two blocks for NJIT. In addition, Mekhi Gray had nine points, 10 rebounds and five assists. The Highlanders prolonged their losing streak to six in a row.
