Presenting the latest installment of the NFL Instagram Power Rankings
It's all about the image
Instagram isn’t just a fad. NFL players have taken to the social media tool, posting photos of their off-the-field exploits and hobbies during their downtime. So we here at FOXSports.com present our Instagram Power Rankings, where we count down the top 10 images from the previous week. Let’s get to work. — Sid Saraf
The Ravens wide receiver was in a car somewhere when he saw this car alongside him. "Who knows this guy? What is going on??" That's quite a paint job. By the way, we here at FOXSports.com blurred out the boobs in the photo. Don't complain, this is a family show we're running here.
The former Ravens center played several years in the NFL and won a Super Bowl. So, he knows talent when he sees it: "The next generation. He wants a tryout. Our him in coach!" Spelling errors aside, Birk is right! Somebody get this little guy on the field pronto!
We can all agree that there's nothing better than free swag, right? I know I love it. Well, the Redskins running back -- and former Penn State player -- just got a special package. "Lookie what was in my mailbox this morning!" Are we sure this is legal? Is Penn State allowed to send former players free stuff? This has to be a violation of some kind!
The Titans safety is all dressed up and ready to hit the town. I like the fact that he gave us a view without the jacket as well. Nice pink shirt, dude! And I'm not being facetious. Real men wear pink with pride. "s/o to @albalegacy for the threads" George almost ruined it with the shameless plug, but I'll allow that to pass.
I'm not sure what I'm more impressed with: Is it the fact that the Lions receiver is posing with rapper Obie Trice? Or maybe it's because Nate is rocking a Pabst Blue Ribbon shirt. Epic. "Me and @realobietrice in front of his over 1 million record sold plaque! #DetroitHipHop" We salute the both of you.
Those are four great Saints right there. It warms the heart. "Saints family photo: Brees, Fujita, Morstead and Gleason at Gleason Gras in front of the Dome!" It was great to see Gleason (front) lead the New Orleans crowd in the "Who Dat" chant before the Saints' Week 1 game.
The Colts linebacker took time out of his schedule to come visit patients at a local hospital. I love seeing things like this. "Prayers up for Jacob! Keep up the strong fight! #QuackStrong #RileysKids" Get well soon, Jacob!
Yes, I'm well aware that LeBron isn't an NFL player. But he was at the Giants-Cowboys game on Sunday night and used a goal post to show off his average dunking skills. "Would definitely be my 1st TD celebration! #DreamChasing #LetsFly" Whatever. You're still not better than Kobe ... or Magic ... or Kareem ... or Wilt ... or Jerry West ... or Elgin Baylor ... or James Worthy. Yes, I'm a Lakers fan. Sue me.
League cameras caught the Eagles sideline on Monday night against the Redskins. I know Chip Kelly's offense is innovative and all, but come on now. How cliche ... the Philly Phanatic? Rocky Balboa? "#NoPhotoshop #ChipKellySideline" What's next? A giant Cheesesteak? Yes, I meant to capitalize "Cheesesteak" because "Cheesesteaks" are the nectar of the gods.
For those of you who watched "Hard Knocks" this summer, you're well aware of Harrison's love of acupuncture. He really, really likes it. "#neverending" #UncomfortableSeeingThis, #GonnaVomit, #RunningToToilet. But congratulations to you, Mr. Harrison. You have taken the top spot for this week. See you next time!
