Gavin Sheets - Scratched from lineupSheets is no longer listed in the lineup for Friday's game against the Rangers.
ImpactSheets was replaced in the lineup by Tim Anderson, who will start at shortstop and push Romy Gonzalez to Sheets' spot in right field. It's unclear if Sheets is dealing with an injury or if the White Sox have simply decided that Anderson is in fact ready to play everyday despite previously indicating he'd be eased back into action upon his return from a hamstring injury.

Tim Anderson - Added to lineupAnderson was added to the lineup for Friday's game against the Rangers after previously being listed on the bench.
ImpactThe White Sox looked like they were sticking to their previously discussed plan of starting Anderson every other game in order to ease him back into action after he returned from a hamstring strain Tuesday. However, per James Fegan of The Athletic, manager Tony La Russa said the shortstop is now feeling well enough to play back-to-back days. It's still seems more than likely that Anderson will be given regular days off during the final two weeks of the season to ensure that he's fully healthy for the postseason.

Tim Anderson - Light workload continuesAnderson will head back to the bench as expected Friday against the Rangers.
ImpactThe expectation when Anderson returned from a hamstring strain Tuesday was that he'd play every other day for some time. It's not clear how long the White Sox intend to continue that pattern, but they've stuck to it for four games thus far. Romy Gonzalez will be the shortstop Friday, but Anderson should return to the lineup Saturday if the pattern continues.
