Fine after exiting SundayManager Joe Girardi said Brogdon is "fine" after a rib issue forced him to exit Sunday's spring game against the Pirates, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.
ImpactIt's apparently a somewhat common issue for the 26-year-old to have a rib pop out, so the rib was popped back in and he's good to go. Brogdon made his big-league debut for the Phillies last season and pitched well with a 3.97 ERA, 0.88 WHIP and 17:5 K:BB over 11.1 innings.

Suffers back injury in relief outingBrogdon was removed from his relief appearance in Sunday's Grapefruit League game against the Pirates due to a back injury, Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports.
ImpactAfter striking out the first batter he faced, Brogdon asked out of the contest when manager Joe Girardi and a team trainer visited him on the mound. The 26-year-old can be considered day-to-day until the Phillies provide another update on his condition.

Tending to oblique injuryMiller could require an MRI after he was unable to play in Saturday's Grapefruit League game against the Tigers due to a right oblique injury, Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports.
ImpactMiller said Sunday that the injury was something that had been bothering him throughout the spring, but it wasn't until Saturday that the pain was significant enough for him to ask out of the lineup. The Phillies plan to give him a few days of rest with the hope that's enough to resolve the issue, but if not, Miller will likely be sent in for further diagnostic tests. The 31-year-old is competing for a role this spring as a left-handed bat off the Philadelphia bench.

Making spring debutSchoop will serve as the Tigers' designated hitter and will bat cleanup Sunday against the Orioles, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.
ImpactSchoop will be making his 2021 Grapefruit League debut after he was a late arrival to spring training while he worked to resolve visa issues. Though he's currently behind the Tigers' other position players, Schoop will have plenty of time to get back up to full speed ahead of Opening Day. He's expected to begin the season as the Tigers' everyday second baseman, though the 29-year-old said Sunday that he also plans to work out at third base this spring in an attempt to increase his versatility, per Jason Beck of MLB.com.

Mixed results so farCisnero has allowed two runs across 2.1 innings in Grapefruit League action. He's given up one hit and three walks while striking out three.
ImpactCisnero was tagged for two runs in a third of an inning in his most recent outing Friday, but he had pitched two scoreless innings in his previous two outings. The righty is in the mix to close for Detroit, though he's likely behind Gregory Soto and Bryan Garcia at this point. However, no one in the Detroit bullpen has clearly established themselves as a dominant closer, so Cisnero could definitely get some save opportunities this season. He logged a solid 3.03 ERA and 1.11 WHIP in 2020, though he blew his only two save chances and has yet to convert a save in the majors in seven tries.
