LANDOVER, Md. (AP) Washington Redskins rookie running back Matt Jones hit pay dirt on Sunday.

No, not on his 78-yard touchdown catch-and-run in Washington's 47-14 victory over the New Orleans Saints - Jones said he saw some cash sitting on the field during the game.

Jones told reporters from ESPN.com and The Washington Post that he noticed $15 on the ground between plays and he pointed it out to receiver Pierre Garcon, who scooped up the money. Garcon stuffed it in his uniform, then handed the bills to someone on the sideline when he got a chance.

Later, Jones said, he made sure he got a cut.

It wasn't clear how the money made its way onto the playing surface.
