Pete Carroll: Christine Michael will have a chance to prove himself

Seattle Seahawks running back Christine Michael has not had much of a chance his first two years in the league to prove himself. After being drafted in the second-round in 2013, Michael only appeared in four games his rookie year and in 10 games the next season.

Head Coach Pete Carroll told reporters at OTAs that Michael will have every chance in the world to prove himself this season.

“This is a fantastic time for him. This is his time,” Carroll said. “We’re going to push him in that regard and just match up with his expectations. He wants to be a front-line, first-line back and he’s got tremendous talent and we’re just going to see how it goes.”

Carroll hopes Michael will continue to work hard and help the Seahawks. If he does that, he should have a chance to get more carries.

“Have a good game and come on back and have another one,” Carroll said. “Stay with the workload, and handle the bumps and the bruises.”

“You can see his assignments and his consistency here but until we start playing (real) football, at that position, you can’t evaluate.”
