Patriots sign 3rd QB Brissett, 3rd-round draft pick

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) The New England Patriots have signed third-round draft pick Jacoby Brissett.

The former North Carolina State quarterback was the last pick to sign with the team. Terms were not disclosed.

Brissett would be elevated to Jimmy Garoppolo's backup if Tom Brady's four-game `'Deflategate'' suspension is upheld - and if the Patriots don't bring in any other quarterbacks. The case is working its way through the federal courts.
