Chiefs take two steps back - Locked on Chiefs

Kansas City looked like their offense at home on Sunday. The Chiefs offense never could get going and if they continue to struggle as much as they did yesterday it will be a very long season. KC has to find a way to get the offense going earlier in the game if they want a chance to win another game this season. Combine lack of execution with 3 turnovers and the Chiefs offense didn’t ever give them a chance to win against the Texans.

The defense of Kansas City showed up most of the game. Any time you allow a team only 16 yards you have to feel good about having a chance to win the game. Unfortunately, with the offense taking most of the day off the defense’s offense was overshadowed. Marcus Peters had 2 interceptions but again let his emotions get involved in the game and get the better of him early. While the defense gave up a lot of yards they bent but never broke. The Chiefs secondary looks to be pretty good even if they give up a bunch of yards.

The Chiefs special teams looks to be a very good unit for the season. Two rookie wide receivers look sensational as gunners on punts. Both Tyreek Hill and Demarcus Robinson had big tackles covering punts on Sunday. Kansas City’s special teams almost got them back in the game with a late kick return for a TD that was called back by a questionable at best penalty. Tyreek Hill may be making Knile Davis expendable at least when it comes to the active roster on gameday.
