Warriors: No structural damage for Curry

Published Jan. 10, 2012 12:00 a.m. ET

Further testing on Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry's surgically repaired, sprained right ankle showed no structural damage.

Warriors general manager Larry Riley said before Tuesday night's game against the Miami Heat that Curry hasn't been cleared to play. Curry will continue to do rehab and receive treatment on his ankle.

Curry was examined in Charlotte on Monday night by Dr. Bob Anderson, who performed surgery on Curry's ankle May 25. He previously had been evaluated by team doctors.

Curry sprained his right ankle for the third time this season Jan. 4 in San Antonio. The injury has been a recurring problem since he was drafted seventh overall in 2009 out of Davidson.
