Lauren Hill, a former college basketball player who inspired a sports world by bravely fighting a deadly brain tumor, passed away on April 10 at the age of 19.

Receiving an outpouring of support from some of the best basketball players on the planet, LeBron James included, Hill’s amazing story captured our attention as she continued to play the sport she loved while fighting terminal cancer.

Now, a couple months after her death, Hill’s name will forever be memorialized at the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame due to a generous donation from a woman she never met.

This just goes to show us how much Hill and her strength in the final months of her life meant to those around the sports world. By virtue of receiving this honor in the brickyard of the Hall of Fame, future generations of fans will remember the strength and courage Hill embodied during her short life.

Good for you, Shannon Frogge.
